Tesla Spotted Offering FSD Demo Drives at a Mississauga Supercharger

Tesla is putting Full Self-Driving front and centre at a Supercharger in the GTA. On Friday, October 23, Toronto-area owner Nic Cruz Patane (@niccruzpatane) posted a photo from his local Supercharger showing a Model 3 parked next to a sandwich board that reads “Experience Full Self-Driving (Supervised).”

“Tesla is doing FSD demo drives at my local Supercharger station,” he wrote. Drive Tesla Canada reports that the site is the North Service Road Supercharger in Mississauga.

What we know so far

The photo shows a Model 3 with an Ontario plate parked by the stalls, with the sign beside it. Tesla has not announced the program, and it hasn’t said which other Canadian Superchargers might get one, how long the demos last, or whether you need to book. If you spot the sign at your local site, ask the people running the demo for details.

How it differs from regular demo drives

Tesla has held demo drive events at Canadian Superchargers before, including a one-day event at the Canmore Supercharger in Alberta this summer, according to Drive Tesla Canada. Those were about trying the car. This time the sign puts the spotlight on FSD (Supervised) itself.

Tesla’s existing self-serve demo drives in Canada already include it. Tesla’s support page says:

  • FSD (Supervised) is available on all Tesla demo vehicles
  • Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck are offered, subject to availability
  • You must be at least 21 with a valid licence
  • Drives typically last an hour and can sometimes be extended up to four hours

To start FSD (Supervised), you enter a destination and press and hold the blue “Start FSD (Supervised)” button, or hold the right scroll button on the steering wheel. Tesla is clear that it still needs active driver supervision and does not make the car autonomous. A light tap on the brake hands control back to you.

Why Tesla is pushing FSD now

The timing lines up with Tesla’s latest numbers. In its Q3 2026 results, Tesla said active FSD subscriptions reached 1.74 million and that over three quarters of new North American deliveries came with FSD. We covered those figures in our Q3 2026 earnings recap. Drive Tesla Canada notes that demos at Superchargers could also reach current owners who haven’t subscribed yet.

For drivers already on FSD, the newest Canadian build is v14.3.13. See our FSD v14.3.13 Canada rollout story for what changed.
