Tesla Brings Supercharger for Business and Semi Charging for Business to Canada

Canadian businesses can now buy their own Tesla Superchargers. Tesla has launched Supercharger for Business in Canada, along with Semi Charging for Business for truck fleets. Livio Caputo of Tesla’s Charging for Business team shared the news on LinkedIn, as EVwire and Drive Tesla Canada reported on October 23.

“The goal is to offer Charging for Business in every market where Tesla runs charging, 55+ countries and growing, with the same hardware, software and service we use ourselves,” Caputo wrote, as quoted by EVwire.

How Supercharger for Business works

Tesla’s new Canadian Supercharger for Business page lays out the basics:

  • Minimum order: four charging posts
  • Install: hire your own installer, with a Tesla Design Engineer guiding the process
  • Manage: set pricing and track usage and financials in Tesla’s portal, while Tesla handles equipment servicing
  • Uptime: Tesla guarantees 97% uptime with its full-service package
  • Power: V4 posts deliver up to 500 kW, with a cabinet of up to 1,200 kW shared by eight posts

The stalls are white-labelled but run the same hardware and software as Tesla’s own network. They work with all compatible EVs, and a payment terminal is optional. Neither Canadian page lists prices; businesses fill out a form instead.

What it means for drivers

For Tesla owners, these sites should feel like any other Supercharger: they can show up in trip planning, display live availability and precondition your battery on the way. More private hosts could mean more stalls at malls, hotels and businesses, on top of Tesla’s own build-out. Tesla already runs Canada’s largest fast-charging network, with 3,091 ports at the end of Q3 2026 per Paren data cited by EVwire. See our Q3 fast-charging story for more.

Semi Charging for Business

For trucks, Tesla’s Semi Charging for Business page has a two-post minimum and two choices:

  • Megacharger: up to 1.2 MW, adding up to 60% of range in 30 minutes
  • Basecharger: 120 kW for depots and overnight stops, adding up to 60% of range in four hours, with deliveries estimated to begin in early 2027

Both use the MCS 3.2 standard. In B.C., R.R. Plett Trucking plans Canada’s first Tesla Megachargers in Langley and Kamloops ahead of 12 Tesla Semis due in June 2027, Drive Tesla Canada reports. Tesla also hired Daniel Valadares, who worked on about 1,000 Canadian Supercharger stalls in an earlier stint, to lead its Semi program in Canada.
